The Advanced Certified Grief Coach

Prerequisite: Successful completion of The Certified Grief Coach & B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Facilitator program.

In this advanced level of certification, students will uplevel their competency and coaching based on the International Coaching Federation core competencies bringing their grief coaching practice to a new expansion of confidence and success.

Students will also have the necessary required Level One approved training to apply for the International Coaching Federation’s ACC coaching certification.

Understand the various assessment tools to help your client create a baseline of their current emotional, life survey and to know limitations to coach to student’s level of expertise (e.g., Certified Coach vs. Licensed Therapist).

MODE OF LEARNING: Hybrid Learning Model

Self-study learning modules and knowledge assessments to be completed by the student

Weekly LIVE group coaching and practicum sessions via Zoom

Private Facebook Group for ongoing group interaction and support

One private 1:1 coaching session for Human Design Body Graph Assessment with a Certified Human Design Coach

Coaching Essentials course: Starting Saturdays, January 11th, 2025 (every other Saturday)

Class time: 9:30am US CT and end at 11:00am US CT

A Pay in full discount is offered to all students who pay their tuition in full by 1st of the month of start of class date.

For the multi-payment option:

  • First installment due by 1st of the month of start of class date
  • Second and third installments due by 1st of each month thereafter.

Students who fail to meet the payment deadlines in their payment plan are restricted from participating in the program until all outstanding financial obligations to the school are met.

This certification is for individuals seeking to uplevel their coaching skills to become more competent and confident grief coaches, providing advanced level grief coaching for clients who have experienced significant loss. 

Student backgrounds may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Social workers
  • Counselors/therapists

  • Spiritual counselors
  • Funeral service directors or staff
  • Death Doulas
  • Alternative medicine practitioners
  • Individuals with the lived experience of grief seeking to support the bereaved.

Course Objectives:

  • Have a clear understanding of the ICF Core Competencies and Ethics
  • Understand the various assessment tools to help your client create a baseline of their current emotional, life survey and to know limitations to coach to student’s level of expertise (e.g., Certified Coach vs. Licensed Therapist).
  • Learn the steps to prepare for the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Level One application path to an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential.
  • Complete 30+ Hours of Coach Training, which combined with the Certified Grief Coach and B.R.E.A.T.H.E. Facilitator program satisfies the 60+ Hours of Coach Training for Level One Path to ACC Credential
  • Receive 10 Mentor Sessions (7 group/3 1:1)
  • Prepare for the ICF Knowledge Assessment
  • Understand the ICF requirements for 100 hours of coaching experience necessary for Level One

Course Objectives:

Refund/Cancellation Policy

The Confident Grief Coach School has a limited refund policy because we only accept students who have a clear commitment to completing their training and certification.

Our firm belief is we cannot fully support you in your success as a student while also leaving space for you to quit on yourself and the people you wish to serve. Our limited refund policy is our way of saying right from the beginning that neither of us are willing accept failure as an option.

  • For Cancellations made prior to program start date: Cancellation of a course must be made a minimum of ten (10) business days prior to the course to be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than ten (10) days before the course (but prior to class start date) are not eligible for refund of the enrollment down payment but will be refunded any non-down payment fees previously paid by student. Written notice of cancellation shall be effective on the date the withdrawal is received by The Confident Grief Coach School. Refunds will be made within thirty (30) days following receipt of cancellation or withdrawal requests.
  • For cancellations requested after program start date: Because of the work we do, we do recognize that significant life-altering events can occur. Should this happen and interfere with you completing your course during your scheduled you may request a one-time transfer of your registration to another class. Requests are not guaranteed to be granted and will be reviewed by the Director of the School on a case-by-case basis.
